Yes, front is D30, rear is D44, both "New Generation" models. I guess
they broke too many D35's the first year because the V6 has to be revved
so high to get any power out of it...

Strange it has taken them so long. All TJ Wranglers here have had the D44 as
the only option since they were introduced.

How is "reving the engine so high" going to have any bad effects on the rear
axle if the torque at that RPM is about the same?
