Mopar remote start issues
Does anyone know, or have had issues with the factory installed Mopar remote start? I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty Limited. Mine keeps setting off the alarm for some reason when I attempt to start it. Also, now the remote start will not even work. It starts the engine for about 3 seconds (sets off alarm, as well), and then stalls (with alarm still going off)? I bought the Jeep used, and the dealership said they can't help me with this. Any suggestions would be great, thanks!

If you have a keyless entry fob you can try this, unlock the doors with remote, remote start the engine, then lock doors with remote.

Thanks Reekor! I tried this and still no luck. It must have something to do with the programming with the security system.

Re: Mopar remote start issues
I agree. If this remote starter ever worked there has to be a remote start bypass module in the steering column to turn off the factory alarm and bypass the chip key. It might have a bad connection at the power connector or the antenna that wraps around the key cylinder came off. If all of that seems fine then the remote start bypass module failed. If you don't feel up to the task, any car audio shop can help you with it.

Re: Mopar remote start issues
I have one I installed new on my wife's 07.Did the same thing and now quit.No tech support if you're not a Chrysler dealer. Re learned the keys and fobs.Sometimes one would work and then the other or like yours. The alarm would go and no way to turn it off. May pull it and put an aftermarket.
