how do I disable the auto tailgate lock feature? (06 liberty CDR)
I paid to have the dealer disable the auto door lock feature but they say the tailgate auto lock can't be disabled

do you happen to know where this actuator is located, or if indeed there is an actual hardware piece I can unplug?
I was led to believe it was function of the "computer" and not a separate entity

I think he was referring to the motor inside the tailgate that trickers the lock.

I believe there is a way to disable the auto locking feature through the key fob.
It should be in your owners manual.

I wish you were right but there is nothing in the owners manual (believe me I looked) and the dealer is unable to deactivate it
I would pay money for the answer (already paid $70 to deactivate the door locks)
