Just came from a dealer in Calgary. Talking with a younger sales rep who was showing me around the Liberty and Patriot. We got on the topic of the GC new 3.6 engine and he informed me that his boss told him that he was pretty sure that the 2011 liberty will have the new 3.6 engine as well.

Anyone else hear this? I went online looking for the reviews for the 2011 and all state the 3.7 is the power plant. I go to the jeep website and they are showing the 2011 up there, but still 3.7 listed.

My guess is the dealership has it wrong. Just wondering if anyone here had heard anything?

If you Google it you will see in this website near the bottom of the page talking about your 3.6 so the dealer was correct.

I read your link. I agree that it does say the GC is getting the 3.6. It also says that the 3.6 will be replacing the 3.7s but it doesn't have a time frame on that.

I have done an extensive search today on the 3.6 going into the liberty but without any luck. Would love to hear if anyone else out there can confirm the 3.6 is going into the 2011 Liberty.
