2010 Patriot P0017 and P0456
I don't see a Patriot forum but Liberty is close enough.
Hi, I have a 2010 Jeep Patriot 4x4 2.4L Dual vvt Northern Edition with auto transmission, throwing a code P0017 bank 1 sensor 2, so I changed the vvt exhaust Solenoid twice the last one is a dealer part and still getting the same code and no power except after the engine is warm and I run it for 10 or so minutes shut it off for a min or so the power comes back intermittently after a restart or two sometimes the engine light will even turn off if I run it a little harder and longer than normal. The engine has 210000 kms when I changed the oil it was pretty sludgy, my mechanic suggested drain off a liter and add a liter of regular atf and changed the oil after a few days so I did to no avail also changed cam position sensor as well... any suggestions?? Runs rough when the engine is cold but when it's fully warm it runs great sometimes the engine light will go out, I put some Seafoam engine cleaner in my crankcase and leave it in for 5-600 kms. Hopefully that'll do the trick.
any other suggestions?
