2008 liberty signal issues

When I use the lane change feature[quick flick for three blinks]to signal a right turn,I will get the three right blinks and also a couple of left blinks.Anybody know what's going on?

My Caravan did that when the alternator was starting to go. Many of the engine components look to be the same as my Liberty.So I would get it checked.
