Dont ship to your house, go pick it up from a UPS store on the US side. Its 100% worth the money.

what about crossing back over the border.. you still have to pay duties? Or do you not say anything and take a chance crossing back? i got nailed once when i didnt declare my purchases.. it wasnt pretty

Always declare, its 8% GST you pay as opposed to the 8% gst + another like 300$ no doubt with UPS.

I'd rather pay the 8% at the border and the gas to go get them than the ridiculous charges UPS tries to pull.

yup just find a UPS store near where you will be ask if you can have stuff shipped to their store and then pick it up there.

I ship mine to Ogdensburg 13669 UPS store.
