Like i did say, if your planning to get larger tires your better off changing the gear anyway because it will slow you down even more when you get your bigger tires on. |

If you keep stock tires and switched gears it will come alive, to move up to 3.73 gears will cost big bucks though. Not just because of the gears and time but because the 3.21 carrier is different than the 3.73s carrier. So it would have to be changed to accommodate the new gears and that part is expansive. Of course you can get a TJ frt carrier from Yukon gears and have the work done somewhere other than a dealership. Going that route would most likely save money but put your power-train warranty in jeopardy. I don't recommend the latter, of course I'm biased being a dealer tech and specialing in 4wd systems FYI My brother's JK 2dr sport 6sp man with 3.73 is running 35's Duratrac and he has no issues with power. |
