VOTS...
Hi guys,
Couple questions, Just ordered a 2013 Wrangler Sport (2 Door) I ordered the Black Freedom Hard top as a $1050 option, I would love the soft top for the summer months but according to my salesman I don't get a soft top and would have to have to order separately, or upgrade to serria?? I find it hard to believe that it wouldn't come with the soft top. Anyone order a Hard Top and get the Soft Top included?? Can Canadians track orders through https://www.jeep.com/vots/ ?? If Canadians can track progress How long does it take before my order info will be entered into VOTS to begin tracking? (I have my VON #) Thanks |
Re: VOTS...
Err! so if you don't order it with a hard top for an extra thousand bucks or so you end up with no top at all? Sounds screwy to me.

Re: VOTS...
It does indeed sound strange...:dunno:

Re: VOTS...
Maybe certain trim levels you can get both or something? I would think for an additional 1000 dollars for a hardtop, the soft top would of been the base option and also included.
I dont know really I had no concern in a soft top so I never looked into it. |
Re: VOTS...
The soft top is what comes with the Jeep . . . you pay the extra money to have the "Dual Top Group" . . . . I like Old Fart's question lol If you don't pay for the hard top you have to go with no top at all???? I think maybe you should back out and find a new dealer!

Re: VOTS...
Hmmm, I did ask about the "Dual Top Option" The model I ordered was the Sport.
According to my salesman the The Dual Top Option can only be ordered under the Sport S model, a $2075 option. I figured selecting a freedom top option with my Sport would also get me the soft top but I don't think so. I have found a used 2012 soft top from a person on Kijiji but don't want to waste money if there is a slim chance my salesman is wrong. I guess my question should be, anyone order a sport with the hardtop get a soft top included.. |
Re: VOTS...
Base Sport comes with softtop only. Roof Upgrade for the Sport is to hardtop. Doubt you will find a "Dual Top Group" in a Sport on a lot, and sounds like Dual Top Group can't be special ordered in a Sport. Dual Top Group is very common in Sahara and Rubicons models. When I was looking it was almost impossible to find a Sahara or Rubicon without Dual Tops..

(I have my VON #) Thanks If you're looking to order a Jeep Wrangler with the soft top and the hard top you will have to order the "dual top group" or purchase a soft top after the sale (from the dealer or other where). Once you add the Hard Top option, it technically drops the standard-equipment soft top (seeing as it is an upgrade). Like it has been said, Most Sahara, Rubicon Wranglers come with the Dual Top Group option, it's a popular one. Send me a PM with your VON#, not sure how much info I can find but I'll try my best. |
Re: VOTS...

PM sent Jeepcacares! My idea was to just to buy a Bikini top for the summer months, but then I would put the hard top on when im not out gallavanting and take it off for the weekends throw the bikini top back on. I know full Softtop Kits are very expensive, from what I saw $1000 - $1500 for a complete kit. I can grab a bikini top for $100. Guess it really does depend on your needs i guess. |
