Re: surprise water build up wrangler 2010
Just went to vacumn out the winter from my 2011 Sahara and found driver's floor floating under floor mat (I have two, a rubber snow catcher and the stock ones) and under the seat was soaked as well. Your suggesting spraying the floor with bed liner - the leak is through the floor not the top? Never saw anything dripping from the top, and it was a hell of a lot of water.

ALL JEEPS LEAK !!!! Get used to it..
Mine is an 2011 and it leaks around the doors...depends on the way the wind is blowing as its raining.. I have had it in several times and the water finds its way in ...just keep an eye on floor and trunk to keep water dried up.. |

pull your drain plugs out...that will keep water from staying under mats and floor |

I find that water gets by the weather strip on both the rear glass tailgate window of the hardtop and the tailgate bar on the softtop. When washing the Jeep, be carefull not to spray directly into that joint..

Re: surprise water build up wrangler 2010
I cared for about 10 minutes...heard enough info from others on what Jeeps are like ...so I am cool with the little annoyances...I love love love my jeep anyway !!!
One thing I don't like is paying $73 for a freaking fog light though !! Wad up with that !! |
Re: surprise water build up wrangler 2010
Just got back from the steelership where they repaired the leak after I located it pouring in, in the middle of a thunderstorm. Turns out the top of the door seal was not holding and allowing water to
get behind the seal, run all the way down the door and then run across the plastic panel into the driver's floor. Technician had a whole manual on how to fix leaks and kits to repair them. No leak now, but happened to be walking by the repair bay when he was looking for the leak. He sprayed the entire upper door and t-top panel with a soapy water solution, cranked the side air vent to blow against the door and cranked the heater fan to full. Should have seen the bubbles it started blowing, located the source of leak real easy. Would work really well for anyone with no warranty to locate one yourself. |

I found one of my plugs in the back missing and one that seemed too small to make a proper seal. The dealership said it could be the rust spray that I get done that shrinks them. Not sure, but I'm going to check the others too. He said I could silicone them in....that might work.
