Stupid rear window washer
The rear window washer on my 2011 Wrangler is totally lame. It squirts straight down but only after the wiper has passed it and starts it's upstroke. So no washer fluid is ------ on the window. Its a total joke. What moron engineer designed this?
Anyone else have this issue? |
Re: Stupid rear window washer
Mine works OK in the rear, it just comes out in a stream not a wide pattern but it's the front I don't like. Sprays more on the passenger side and sprays it high on the windshield so it leaves the salt streeks on the bottom half of my viewing area. May just get an aftermarket end at Canadian Tire that allows adjustable positioning for the sprayer.

Re: Stupid rear window washer
They both can be aimed by inserting a pin into the nozzle and moving it.

Really? Gonna have to try that! Thanks...

Re: Stupid rear window washer
Try activating the washer on both up and down strokes. Works for me.

Re: Stupid rear window washer
Yeah, the 2011 washer functions are not great and the 15 inch wipers in front are not very common; poor design. I don't think the front nozzle is adjustable either, maybe if you loosen and turn, but not hieght wise.

Didn't work on mine for the front, but I tried damn hard! Found one at CT that can be. Will install it this week.
Maybe I'm not doing something right? (when there's daylight) the change in the aim of the nozzle is not great, but you only need to adjust a couple degrees, readjust the aim, try wash & wipers, readjust the aim, try wash & wipers, we're good scenario. Billy |
