Rims with 5" backspacing
Looking at picking up a set of 17 X 9" rims with 5" backspacing. Everything I've researched says these will fit may 2011 Wrangler, without spacers. These rims will be mail ordered so I'd really like to hear from someone who's running this setup or "in the know" to check my facts in the real world as opposed to cyber space. Appreciate hearing from anyone

Re: Rims with 5" backspacing
What size tires?
What size lift? I have 4.5" BS with 35x12.50 tires and 2.5" lift - no rubbing.. My son has 4" BS with 33x12.50 tires no lift - slight rub at full lock. I can't guarantee to you that you won't have rubbing with only 5" BS. |
Re: Rims with 5" backspacing
I'm hoping to avoid any lifting and likely go no bigger that 32" tire. Not somemuch that I need 9" wide rims, but the company's only offering in 17" rims size in the style I want is 17 X 9 with 5" of back spacing.

Idvsay you'll be fine. I run rims with 4.5" back spacing and 35's. No lift and no rubbing.
