Recommend a New Front Bumper for Wrangler Sport

Hi, I have a 2010 Wrangler Sport and am thinking of replacing the original front bumper with something more hardy / metal / visually appealing. Can anyone recommend a front bumper that is not too expensive but looks good?
And best place to get it?

What do you plan to do with it? Just want a metal bumper? Would you like to mount a winch or air compressor to it? Whats your price range? Need Details Bro!

Wild,

Mopar has a variety of bumpers to choose from. Not sure what you are wanting exactly but go to the link below to see what they have. To order, just go to in and see the parts manager at your local dealer and they can order what ever you need.
At this link, you'll also find all the accessories we have for your Wrangler.

Post pics when you have your bumper replaced and have a great day.

Yeah, I just basically want a metal bumper...don't need to mount anything...
Price range - are there any $500 or less?

Well I personally want a winch and some trail lights with a stinger on the front end (helps so if you go down a really steep hill you wont' tip forward)
Just Jeeps :: Bumpers - Front :: Smittybilt XRC Front Stinger...

If you want something basic, you can look at something like this maybe?
Just Jeeps :: Bumpers - Front :: Rampage Front Double Tube...

Pretty good, but if you don't like the tube look. Can always go this way.
Just Jeeps :: Bumpers - Front :: Smittybilt SRC Classic Front...

Second one is tough, decent angles and really simple looking for sure. Really depends on your taste.

Thanks, great info. I do like the one with the stinger.

Looks awesome! Do you have those on your Jeep?

Currently my jeep is being built. I actually don't even have a jeep yet! But i've been doing alot of research for mods! I ordered a 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport S (i plan to replace the shocks and everything, no point getting a sahara for that reason alone for me)

But the biggest problem i think i am going to run into is cargo space. So i saw this really cool cargo tray you can put in and it essentially doubles your floor space. Reduces your ability to put tall items in, but it can be moved and removed easily.

I have a ton of ideas for sure!

You're right about the cargo space - I don't have much at all.

What do you think of lifting Jeeps? It looks cool but are there disadvantages then?
I bought my Wrangler new but haven't done anything to it...but now want to start with new front bumper...then maybe lift.

Did you take the 3.73 axle ratio or did you stick with the standard 3.21? That will really make or break your lift mod. Because you lift it, you want a larger tire right? I'd say a safe lift is around 2.5" - 3" from what I've read. 33" - 34" tire if your using a 3.73 axle ratio. If you increase your tire size to much, you will start to loose power because of that ratio trying to spin the bigass tires.

I still have alot to learn as far as full suspension lifts, but if you want to do it right and be offroad badass. You will be looking at between $1000 - $2000 for a really good heavy duty lift with shock replacement.

Downside to lifts (sometimes) your on road handling and comfort will be a little less, some really expensive kits claim to say they don't. Also raising up your ride to much will increase your center of gravity and increase your chances of tipping. 2.5" - 3" i don't think there will be to much to worry about.

Google tires with 275 width tires, they look really sweet. Standard is 255, but i think wider tires will counter balance the lift in my opinion.

Have a look at Northridge4x4 Canada Jeep Parts Online Store - Home They are more local to Alberta and offer free shipping most times on items over $100

I believe they are franchise stores, so I cant speak personally about the one in your area, but the one here in Smiths Falls (Ottawa area) is fantastic. Great service. It's pretty much the go-to spot.

A few other places to think about in the area are Rock Spyder 4x4 in Markham , jeepoutfitters.ca in peterborough, Off Road Addiction in London and TMR customs in Aurora

At the risk of getting some "you should buy local" flack, it's worth noting that some times you'll find it substantially cheaper to buy your items in the USA and have em shipped to a boarder UPS store, or even right to your door.

I'll gladly buy local for the same price and even up to 10% more if the service is great, but when we're talking 30 - 40% more, I just can't do it. Rims & Tires are a good example of this.

Something to concider when ordering bumpers and tires from the USA is the shipping usually has extra charges for oversized pieces. Some places here have that cost factored in already. Jim @ Rockspyder4x4 is a good guy to deal with.

I wish there was more offroad accessory stores to physically go in and shop. Online shopping is fun, but i think when your buying 200 - 500 dollar bumpers and lights you wanna see it before you buy it for sure.

There is a guy in Brampton who can get you this stuff. I was hot-cold on this bumper but what a heck, something unusual and interesting. Will post pics once installed.

Depending where you live. I order from the US and have it delivered to a border store. When it arrives there I go across and pay the taxes on the way back. Most online Jeep stores offer free shipping in the US.
I have also ordered from Dave a Northridge free delivery in Canada at US prices.
I like the AEV bumpers but they are a little more.

ARB makes a nice shorty bumper that is winch ready with a hoop on it.

If your handy with a welder go to ur local steel company and buy some steel. In many cases they will cut it for you and if ur requiring a bent in it they will do it too or you can. Makes for something strong and lasting. My rear bumper of my tj is home made originally for my xj now cut back and re-welded..

bang for your buck, probably the best option is as was mentioned. RR XHD. You can add a stinger to it as well. Stubby ends for a more finished look. Had one on my prev jeep and was super happy with it. I think they even make it in aluminum now so you can save a bit of weight
I deal with PJF 4x4 and National 4wd here in Montreal. both are great places to shop. National has a couple stores in ON so I would definately give them a ring. Good prices and service.
