Canada Dummy lights

So I was wheeling in the mountains for a weekend all good till it was time to go home and I try to put my front stabilizer back to stock , the dummy light is on and I don't think it reset.
I have an 08 rubi u and it has the electronic disconnect .
The light was on for 3 more days and then all the dash lights came on and now the jeep won't even start .
I surfed and found a few people with the same thing . A module somewhere has burnt out and needs to be towed to a steelership and a a $1800.00 part needs replacing .
So now it sits in my shop while I save up the $ to get the part.

I just want to know how many people has this happened to , and if the end result was the same .
Kind of annoying , and expensive .

Ken,

The only recommendation I have is to make sure you let the dealer diagnose the exact cause as there are times when an issue sounds the same / acts the same but could be a totally different repair.

Let me know how you make out.

My buddy had the same problem. we used his aev procal to disable the smartbar and voila jeep would start again. basically what happens is if the computer cant reconnect the sway bar it wont let you drive. you might be bettter off buying the aev procal then the evo manual sway bar disconnect which just attaches to the smartbar. this would be cheapest and cost u a couple hundred buck at most.

Unpug the disconnect motor behind the front bumper and all will be good till the dealer can fix..

I unplugged the wire harness from front sway bar . Still same thing . And my battery drains .
Weird . So need to get it towed in i guess .
This sucks bad because i just put 4:88 s in and 37s on .
Snow is just starting to take over here . Crunching my play time .
Oh well , it was built for playing so , gotta pay i guess .
I will let you all know what the heck happened / happens .

West Re: Dummy lights

Well here is the story .
I finally had my JK hauled into the dealership .
They started by flashing the main computer .
They replaced the front clip wiring harness .
and they replaced the steering stabilizer actuator .
I did get this done under my warranty . But that is done now so I hope nothing else goes wrong .

I had replaced the front bumper and put on a set of pro comp driving lights , using the factory driving lights wiring .
The dealership unhooked my lights saying that if I hooked them back up my warranty would be cancelled .
So I hooked up the lights on a separate switch .

We went out for a run and all worked well so all is good for now till I break something else .
Now to trim some metal in the back wheel wells , the new 37s rub a bit when wheeling .....
