West Runva Winches, any good?

Has anybody used or bought and had any trouble with the Runva winches? I'm replacing the front and rear bumpers of my 2010 2dr Sahara with a set of Rock-Slide bumpers and am looking at winches. Warn and Superwinch are good but the Spec for Runva is as good and 1/2 the price. pleas let me know thanks.

i guess it depends on how much you r going to use it, if it is just for looks and going to be use twice a year than it should be all right. oh ya cant forget about wallet, i run warn on my quad but for jeep think of getting knock off not going to use often but will have it just in case :) thats my two cents

It'll get used but not regularly, I've talked to Runva and the synthetic rope will give me about 75ft in lieu of the 85ft of cable, I think I'll bite. its works out to less than 1/2 the price and come with a life time warranty.

check out Titan winches. The owner Duncan is a huge supporter of the jeep community and hes a no BS type of guy. The winches he sells are second to none.

TWC 12000lbs with the compressor and i switched to synthetic line. As for the specs on the sabre I know hes changed suppliers recently in an attempt to fix a small issue they had. Hes constantly tracking down weak points and making everything stronger. Although the Sabre is as reliable or more than a warn. My buddy has one and hes had it for 2-3 years now and he uses it atleast 10 times a year.

Give them a call. Runva I looked into btw and they are pretty much junk. Ask Duncan though he can explain all the differences between them.

Thanks I'll most likely be purchasing the 12,000 lb Sabre with synthetic line soon. Did you change the fairlead when you replaced with synthetic rope?

I had a roller fairlead from an old bumper that I used.

Edit: Mind if I ask why you got that one instead of the TWC 12 000lbs with the built in compressor? The TW are better quality and built by Titan themselves. The Sabres are left over from when they out sourced a lot of their winch manufacturing. IF i remember correctly. Not totally sure.

I know this is an old thread but I have had a Runva 12k for a year now, used it alot, and its a great winch with good power...little slow, but I am very happy with it for the $300 i paid for it.
