Picking gears for the highway?

I'm running my 08 jk on 285/65/18's with stock 3.21's and when i'm on the highway
i loose speed. What would be a good set of gears to run on that will maintain my speed.

Re: Picking gears for the highway?

The most popular is 4.88 with man trans and 35's. If you are even pondering going up to bigger tires I would suggest going to the 4.88. If you are really happy with the 33's then go with 4.56

Re: Picking gears for the highway?

Thanks for the tip and i do like my 33"s, it's just right for me .I found a gear ratio guide
on www.4wheelparts.com/aux_inc/gear_ratio.html based on 65 mph and a gear ratio of 1:1 on a manual trans in 4th.Maybe i could use this to find the right gears.Have a look at the site and tell my what you think.
