That's illegal in ontario! Your vehicle while on the road may only have a max of 4 headlamps lit on the front of the vehicle at any given time on the road ways.

I am assuming these are just plug and play replacement bulbs right? Still pretty cool, but I personally would love to find a legal option to install a HID Kit, these filament bulbs are great and affordable. But HID bulbs won't break as easily when on rough terrain.

IM sure would include a nice price tag for sure. It's a good option if you plan to keep your original bumper, I plan to replace the bumper go with vertical mounted trail lights and hook them into the fog switch.

But switching the fog lights with LED Lights dosn't that kind of defeat the purpose of the fog lights? I wonder if replacing them with LEDs still allows them to function properly in fog with LED functionality. I know that fog lights are just ment to shine under the fog, but i always wondered if different coloured lights make a huge impact since LED can be any colour, might be better off.

the 'fog" refers to the beam pattern of the lamps which we do carry the 530's in as well. the fog cutting ability of the 530's is much more superior than an OEM bulbs due to the output of the lamps. Some people do like colored bulbs in heavy fog and snow as well.

Most aftermarket bumpers will accept the factory foglights so anything that is designed to fit the factory bumper will also fit these aftermarket bumpers..
The new generation LEDs in many cases are brighter then halogen bulbs and take alot less power to run..
As for plugging other lights into the factory fog harness, well its not quit that easy. It has to be a light designed to replace that foglight or your electrical system will shut the circuit down. Too much draw or not enough and it will shut the circuit down. Manufactures that design a replacement foglight also design into the harness the proper resistance tho keep the factory system happy. For the same reason you can't just install any old LED taillights, they have to be designed for the JK..

FYI - I love the PIAA Xtreme white plus H13 headlight bulbs and will be replacing my factory fog bulbs with the H10 version this week..

Hey guys and gals, here is a couple images from the original install. The 530 LED's are designed with reflector facing technology (RFT). Our LED's are the only lights on the market with this technology. Even though our JEEP JK kit comes with driving pattern we still put a cut-off on the beam to maximize the usable light. Stray light does nothing for you, which is why we focus so much on beam control and not overall output. Any company can push as much wattage through a light as they want. So what does this mean?

The innovative design offers significantly improved lighting and beam control compared to conventional LED and halogen lamps with forward-facing bulbs. The result is greater visibility for drivers. Key to achieving these performance advantages is PIAA’s advanced Reflector Facing Technology (RFT). PIAA’s exclusive computer-designed, multi-surface reflector concentrates and focuses the beam pattern of the rearward-facing LED bulbs more precisely than forward-facing LED lamps. RFT is featured in PIAA’s new 530LED Series lamps and new 570LED Series lamps. Both series of PIAA LED lamps provide brilliant illumination, but with lower power consumption than conventional LED and halogen lamps. They light the road with brilliant cobalt-blue color that is clearly visible to oncoming traffic, providing an added measure of driving safety. The lamps are compact and durable, with the cast aluminum housings and polycarbonate lenses.

If you don't believe me just check out the latest issue of Overland Journal, they did a very extensive LED lighting test with all of our competitors with LED lightbars and round LED's. The PIAA LED's won the two awards, one for best value and two for Overall Editors Choice.

This Jeep JK kit fits perfectly in the bumper. No gaps or anything if you do not want, you can adjust this the kit. The 530 LED's pull 8 watts per lamps so the kit uses 1.3 amps when on. Not much for that much output!
