just picked up my new '12 Rubicon Monday. LOVE IT. Had a 2003 Sahara which I loved but these are 2 different Jeeps! Anyways my question I wanted to ask is the 2012 Rubicon available with 3.73 gears? The salesman said it had 4.10s, and the options list(build sheet?)says 3.73s, but the owners manual doesnt list the Rubicon with anything but 4.10s.
It is an auto,2dr with tow package.

According to Jeep.ca 4.10 rear axle ratio comes as a standard feature but if you go to build and price you will find out that it's only on manual transmission. 4.10 is an option with auto trans.

 

4:10's are an option for the 2012 rubicon. 3:73's are standard on the auto and 4:10 are about a $50 option. This is because the new 5 speed auto has lower gear ratio then the old 4sp auto. 3:73 is really close to the same final ratio as the old 4:10 with 4 speed auto. If u get a new Rubi with 4:10's its like 4:56 in last years. Thats why they say the 4:10's are perfect for 35 inch tires now. 3:73 should show up on the sheet as standard equipment and the 4:10 will be under options if u got them. Thats how it was on mine anyway.

 

thanks for the replies, I think the salesman thought the tow package included the 4:10's but the build sheet says tow package, and 3.73's
