New to me Hard top

I installed my hard top about 5 weeks ago, I got it from AutoJunkieMan here on the forum.

A nice young couple who sold it to me last spring. They drove from Toronto to Montreal, we removed the top, put it on 2x4s in the backyard and they drove back to Toronto topless by a not so warm rainy day.

The top sat there all summer, when I decided to install it I had one surprise, the inside white was stained by mildew sitting all summer over the grass, it took me a good hour to clean it with a power wash (it came back as new), just 15 minutes to remove my sof top and 10 minutes to install.

I did order the wiring harness, this took me a good 3 hours to install and then another 10 minutes at the dealer to get the Jeep flashed for it to work.

Many thanks to AutoJunkieMan, the top is really nice, everything is working and no leak at all. It's really quiet compare with the soft top (but the soft top will be back on next spring for sure).

Anyway, (AutoJunkieMan) just wanted to let you know that I'm happy. This will be perfect for winter season.

Here is a pick of it with it.

 Same, even with extensive power wash I got spiders inside for a good month, I guess they were hiding in the motor of the rear wiper. Our youngest daughter was scared to climb in the Jeep...

I put my hardtop on planks which are sitting on some bricks to keep it elevated from the damp ground and I cover the glass area with a tarp. The ground area I cover with rubber/plastic to prevent the grass and weeds from coming up. I place a couple of boxes of dollar store moth balls under the roof and along the side of the top, this keeps the animals away, this year no spiders at all either. This might not be a good idea if u have pets or young children around as they might pick up the balls.
