I have done the usual mods to the ram but its time for something new.....hence my new Moab.... can you tell me some tips advice on this pentastar? ill post pics of this baby when it arrives, to my knowledge ill have the first of 3 moabs coming to manitoba this year woooo! with this new toy is there any mods one should do ? ive done a little reading but always value what the peeps who actually own these vehicles have to say. Is there any benifit to a cat back exhaust? How are the silent armour gy? I do have many more questions just slippin my mind at the moment. I lok forward to hearing some insite, thanks in advance!!

mark,

Congrats on the Gecko MOAB!
I don't have Canadian Mopar Accessory listings as of yet for 2013 but as soon as they become available, I will post.

Congrats again and welcome to the forum!

First of all congrats and welcome to Jeepdom..
There are many mods out there and it is very easy to make your Jeep unique.
Some nice steel bumpers are a good start, but deciding which one you like best can be a chore as there so many to choose from..
I believe the Moab comes factory with the Rubicon BFG tires so you will be OK with them until you are ready to go bigger..
Catback exhaust will give you better sound but won't affect performance.
CAIs are also a waste of money but adding a snorkel has benefits.
Have fun and post pics when it arrives..

Thanks for the welcomes! I'm pretty excited for my Moab to show up. I've been doing some reading onthis site. I'm pretty impressed lots of info. Ok few more questions ..... So I've read a bit about exhaust, from what I gather people are going with a cat back system? Does any one have feed back on a presence? I was looking at borla or the mbrp cat back. Seems to be pretty much bolt on. Correct me if I'm wrong, this mod will not effect milage or performance in a negative way? I see cai are not highly recommended. I had one in my ram and noticed something , I think I did lol. I have the build sheet on this Moab it pretty much has every option u cld think of. As for towing. How well wld it tow? I have a 20ft boat with a 175 motor onit. And a 6x10 utility trailer. This Moab has the tow packed with trans cooler. As for the tires it comes with gy silent armors. Anyone have input on those? Thanks again for the warm welcome. Can't wait to post some pics!!

Re: new to jeep'n newbie questions

The exhaust is more about the sound you want. Gibson Catback is cool but some say too noisy. I just run a Flowmaster Super 44 and made a new tailpipe. Doesn't seem to reduce power at all but the deep tone does cause sympathetic vibrations...
