Hi everyone, i just picked up my jeep wrangler a few weeks ago, got it in dozer. loving the colour, tinted the windows but now looking to get some wheels for the summer.

A few questions i had was can i use the stock 18's and tires for some slight off roading? how do you guys think these would look on it?

Those rims look pretty good. Black is definately the way to go with an orange jeep.

I would sell your stock rims and tires (pretty useless for any off roading) and get some Goodyear Duratracs to go with the Wheels. They are a decent off road tire and are excellent on road especially on ice and packed snow. Get them in 33's and do a teraflex leveling lift on your jeep, you'll get 2' lift up front and 1" in the rear then your 33's will fit perfect without rubbing and you'll get rid of the ugly factory rake while your at it.

Just my $.02

Mine with the factory Rubicon wheels and BFG MT's 32" and Teraflex leveling lift...I'll be going to a 33" wheel and Duratracs at some point next year...These Wranglers can really suck the money out of the wallet!

Congrats on the new Jeep! You can surely do some slight off-roading with slicks on your Jeep if you want! LOL Just kidding... The Bridgestone Dueler is not a bad tire but avoid deep mud and rock crawling. It is an A/T tire so you should be fine off the pavement since the JK capability is amazing. Don't be shy to try it out :) There is so many choices out there for tires that it can be hard to choose. It always depends on where you ride the most. I do prefer M/Ts over A/Ts for the look and especially because the places I go off-roading are a bit demanding on my rubbers.

Happy Jeepin!!

Oh and by the way the wheels you're aiming at are very nice. I have black wheels myself and love it :)

Agree, those black wheels will look cool on the Dozer...

As you failed to identify the maker and model of the rim, I was unable to (read didn't take the time), see if they did sell it, but if you go to Tire Rack's web site (tirerack.com), once you've picked out the rim you want, their site will allow you to view them on your vehicle, even lets you pick the vehicle's colour, (Dozer is a support colour for the JKU).

I have 18" black wheels and 35's on my dozer. I love the look.
I ripped the side wall out of one of my Duelers on the curb parking at Shoppers one night, so I would be on the carefull side in the rocks.

Here is a pic.

Ripped out a sidewall in Shoppers parking lot? What you run over before you hit the curb - a Hyundi?
Sweet looking jeep, you paint the orange accents in the wheels?

Thanks.
I was backing out and cut my wheel a little early and just rubbed the curb. I guess there must have been a peice of concrete sticking out or something. 5 minutes later my TPMS light came on and when I looked I had a cut in the sidewall. I have had bad luck with sidewalls.

As for the wheels yes I did paint the accents myself. I had some paint left over from my trailer project and thinned it out a little more and dabbed it on and let it ------ out on its own. Gave it a couple coats and then cleared the whole wheel. Wheels were mat before but a nice gloss for now......I don't expect the clear or the Dozer paint on the wheels to last long offroad.
