Canada New Jeep - maybe

well Im looking at tradeing in my 09 escape for a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. I took it out tonight and talked some numbers. The numbers are not bad. I have to decide tonight and go back tomorrow if I want it, the reason tomrrow is its the last day of Jeeps Rebate which is pretty good. Plus the jeep I want they have to bring in and if I wait to long it could sell.

I really like the jeeps, never owned one but Im love the 2011 model, lots of nice options I would have never thought would be in a jeep. I wil say I am a little worried about gas mileage. The 2011 maybe the older models have it too have a ECO mode. I have to read up on that but it suppose to be a fuel save mode.

Ive been lurking this form for the last 48 hours reading as much as I can to make sure I make a educated decision.

Plain and simple if you are concerned with fuel mileage do not buy a Jeep. Hopefully you will get over the fuel issue and take the plunge into this addiction!

X2 on that, if fuel economy is your worry don't buy a Jeep. Every mod you make to the JK just makes fuel mileage worse. No eco mode will help that. Driving like Granny and using cruise control on the hwy will help.

Unfortunately,Adrian is right..if fuel economy is what you want, don't get a Jeep.On the other hand,If you want to be a part of an exclusive club, then by all means get one!!

Sorry should have thrown this in there as well. I tell people all the time the best mod I ever did was buy a daily driver. There are lots of cars out there for around $2000 that are reliable fuel efficient and cheap on parts. The added cost of a second vehicle far out weighs the cost of fuel for our beloved Jeeps.

I got a 2011 Sahara 4 door. No leather, was gonna but didn't want the brown. So the interior is all black. Outside is the dark green and black roof. I liked the contrast of the black roof and the green instead of green on green. I went with Auto, I wanted standard but the GF can't drive stick and I really didn't want to teach her using my new baby. I can't wait to get it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the new Jeep, welcome to the family...don't forget to wave!!

We have a 08 JKU and it's the wifes DD, yes it likes it's gas, but we make compromises to our budget (ever so slight you would be amazed when you put your mind to it) in exchange to drive the best ride out there...Jeep.

I'm sitting on the fence with my 06 Civic and when to trade in for a Jeep of my own....right now I have visitation rights on the week-end :)

There will be two Wranglers in my drive way soon...Love them, regardless of the MPG.

Get out there and drive, enjoy your new Jeep....wait til you rock the top and doors off....theres no looking back after that!
