Canada New Hitch

well I got my hitch installed last night on my 2011 jk unlimited. Ordered it from Just Jeeps and they shipped it Monday afternoon and I had it Tuesday morning. Hitch and wireing. Great deal and great service. The install was super easy and the wireing harness was even easier. My last hitch and wireing I installed was on a 09 escape and what a pain, had to remove the rear bumper run a power wire to the battery and ground it. The wireing for the jeep was just plug into the rear drivers side tail and booom done ! Hitch Looks factory.

the only thing I do wish was a little better was the connection on the hitch that holds the trailer hookup. its not very tight. I am going to a trailer hitch store here in town to see if they sell anything that I can add to it. Other then that great deal and easy install.

About to pull the trigger and buy our first jeep. Hitch is something we'd like. The $500.00 option seems pricey to me for something aftermarket is way cheaper. Does an aftermarket hitch void warranty in anyway???

not sure how it could void your warranty at all. It was so easy to install I didn't have to change anything just slide on and bolt. I got my hitch and wireing for under $175.00 and that included $25.00 shipping.

I asked nicely and the dealer threw in the hitch free. Might be worth a try?

From what I understand the trailer package is more than just the hitch. I think you get a different gear ratio (in the X/Sport)...3:73 vs.3:21 and you also get stiffer springs.
...at least that's my understanding.

In addition, you also get the Trailer Sway Control turned on in the computer.
