Move it or loose it!

I sure many of you have heard already about the issue with the location of the Evaporator canister so this is maybe more of a reminder than anything. Last year, I almost lost mine but was able to catch it before I lost it as someone spotted it dangling from my underside. Sadly I was not smart enough to make the relocation and just reinstalled it. Not long after I ripped it completely off and damaged the connections on top of sinking it in a mud hole. Lucky for me I was able to pillage one off a Sahara in the wreckers for $75. I've seen relocation kits for 75 to 125 bucks but can be easily done for less that 20 with very little skill.

The xj's have the same problem, save your money and relocate it under the hood..simple and cheap way is to buy the soft metal strapping with the small round holes in it (a couple of bucks from the hardware store) and rap this around the canister and mount it under the dash. I found the hosing for it to be long enough not to have to change it.
