Low cost mods. Who's doing what?
Cut the front bumper on the weekend and installed the VDP end caps. I must say it looks really good and would highly recommend to anyone. Took about 30 minutes to do.
Also put the Rugged Ridge euro guards on the tail lights and a gas filler cap and painted the antenna black. Waiting for the Spiderweb shade to come in and some warm weather. The plan is some new tires & wheels and I like the Body Armor tube doors but that will have to wait till next spring I think. |

Re: Low cost mods. Who's doing what?
I think the only 'free' mod I did was painting my antenna black.

Still waiting for my Spiderwebshade to arrive.
Installed my IPF lights on the A-pillars. Ordered last night the Body Armor tube doors through Summit. Shopping tires and wheel options. Thinking of removing the silver applique off the bumpers. |

I removed the silver front applique and plan to do the rear bumper tomorrow at a buddies shop. The front can be removed with a mini ratchet and a torx. But the back the bumper needs to be removed. Again very happy with the results. Also wired up my 12" ported sub and took out the Infinity 8" that was in there. Just wired it up temporarily until I get some funds to have it professionally installed with an amp I had from my old TJ. Sounds a bit better but definitely not pushing enough air through it. |

Re: Low cost mods. Who's doing what?
Yeah we are getting ripped off on shipping and duty.
I ordered the Spiderweb shade directly from them and still do not have the product. Even though they charged me $25.00 for shipping in what I expect will be a small parcel. Pardon the punn but it really pays to shop around for pricing and shipping costs. |

Made some door hangers from some plans I took off another site.
Works perfect and keeps them out of the way. https://www.jeepscanada.com/attachme...ine=1373757379 |
Re: Low cost mods. Who's doing what?
Disabled that annoying seatbelt chime. I still wear my seatbelt 99% of the time but when I'm just moving the jeep around or testing it down the street after a mod, it got really annoying. Buckle the seatbelt, turn the ignition to ACC, unbuckle and buckle 3 times, turn off ignition. You should here a chime before you turn off the ignition.
