Lift Kit advice/Tips
Hey guys, im new here and just looking for some help. I want to get a lift kit for my jeep and have been looking at a couple different ones. The ones im looking at are:
#1) 2,5" http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2perf.html #2) 2.5" http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_2.html (premium kit) #3) 3.5" http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_jk_3-seriesII.html Mostly i want to know the advantages/disadvantges between the two 2.5" kits and anyone who has 1 installed how they are working out. Also, will I need to look for anything else to go with the kits? example. longer drive shafts, other parts from personal experiences that would be a help. |
Re: Lift Kit advice/Tips
I run a TerraFlex 2.5" BB (the most complete Budget Boost IMHO). Just recently replaced the front stock springs and spacers with Rock Krawler 3.5" springs too level it out and left all else the same.
2.5" lift is about perfect for 35" tires with stock fenders or 37" with flat fenders. A 2.5" 3" lift is safe with stock driveshafts. Depending how hard you wheel you may get away with stock shafts on a 3.5" as well, but if you disconnect you may be pushing it. http://jtphoto.ca/webimages/nov10/new goodyears1063.jpg http://jtphoto.ca/webimages/nov10/new goodyears1072.jpg |

Sounds good, thanks for the info, im probably going to go with the 2.5" premium kit so i get the shocks and everything all in one.
