JK Transmission!!!
Hi guys, i'm a newbie here and a have a question for you!!! I'm looking to buy a 2010 JK sahara because 95% of time i'll be on road but is it still good for part time off roading? Should i get the 6 or 4 speeds transmission? which gives the best fuel economy? probably the 6 but for off road is it better the get the automatic?
I'm planning to buy a Sahara with the 2 tops, towing package and the limited slip rear differential... am I right? Is it a good idea to buy a used one? I never had an jeep before, are they still reliable after 60 000km? Should i get an extend warranty? thanks |
Re: JK Transmission!!!
 The 6-spd stick vs the 4 spd auto, depends on how you driveit

Good luck :3gears: JIMBO |
Re: JK Transmission!!!
Your wish list is pretty much what I drive, with the auto.
-yes, two tops is a must. Thre freedom top (aka the hard top) is wonder full for the odd warm days in spring and fall. Heck I've taken the two front pannels off in January when we had +10C :) -the Limited Slip Dif (LSD) is also worth the $, it's bias ratio is very well mannored. -we have the trailer tow, never used it...noting to tow :) Auto vs stick, its personal preference and what you want to do with the Jeep. Either way you go you win, and have fun with it. Looking for a second JK myself there are LOTS of pre-owend's on the market, do your home work, look, dest drive, ask questions, then repeat....comapre to new, your $$. No issues what so ever thus far, very reliable, love it, will always drive one from here on. |
