I recently put new front and rear drive shafts on my 2008 4d JK X Unlimitied along with a 3in Tera Flex suspension lift. Im experiencing some rattling noises coming from the transfer case. Its pretty annoying. You cant really hear it in 4wd. I know the cv driveshaft angles are probably the problem, anybody have an idea what inside the tranfer case is causing the noise? Im pretty sure it could be some chain slack hitting other metal parts inside or the alignment could be off. The folks who put the lift on said they did nothing to the transfer case and its a jeep manufacture problem, not there's. That doesnt sound right to me. I took the jeep to the dealership and waiting to hear what they find. They also agree it is coming from the transfer case.
