Jk hardtop removal System
Hi I have a 2011 JK Wrangler anniversary edition. Looking to set up some kind of winch system in my garage so I can remove and store the hardtop by myself. I am reasonably handy and could build my own . Looking for ideas or if not overpriced would purchase something.

Just Jeeps :: Hard Top - Storage & Hoists :: Harken Hoister... I have been told theres a few locations you can go to pick up the items so you don't have to buy them online and pay for shipping etc so you should look into that. From the looks of this kit too, gives you a place to store your hard top, it just hangs there until you back into it again and ether put it back on or just leave it hovering. Very handy! Also side note if you want to remove your hard top, a good bet it to get a Bikini Top and store it in your jeep so when your off topless you can always put on a bikini to cover up when it rains. (pun intended) Just Jeeps :: Bikini Tops :: Bestop Header BikiniŽ Safari... <-- 2 door Just Jeeps :: Bikini Tops :: Bestop Header BikiniŽ Safari... <-- 4 door Hope this helps! |

Thanks for the reply. I will check it out. My anniversary edition Wrangler came with the rag top as well but I might check out some bikini's too ;<)

I got this:
Racor PHL-1R Pro HeavyLift 4-by-4-Foot Cable-Lifted Storage Rack - Amazon.com mounted under my deck. Drive under, lower using cordless drill, strap top to it with ratchet straps. I added pipe insulation foam to possible contact points. Lift with the drill and leave it there until fall. |
