Jeep JKU 2011 Fuel Overflow Issue
Hello,
My 2011 JKU is having this similar issue (I found this video on YouTube as an example, it's not my Jeep. But it's the same problem) I have researched all of the solutions and talked with my local dealership (Durham Region) and they haven't experienced this problem with any 2011 JK's. I have found and read the Service Bulletin 14-003-12 which is for 07-08 JK's only for warranty. I believe this is the fix (Part# CNNNX321AC) From what I have read, the original filler neck tube didn't have a check valve it in, it was located in the tank. The Ethanol in our fuel apparently causes the valve to swell over time and become ineffective. Chrysler was replacing the entire tank but that became too expensive with all of the issues they were having. So this new filler neck tube now has the check valve in it. I am curious to know if anyone has had this exact problem and if they successfully solved the issue? Thanks |
Re: Jeep JKU 2011 Fuel Overflow Issue
My 2011 had the same problem from day one, and now so does my '15. Learn to live with it and when the pump shut itself off, you quit there. Don't try to squeeze that last couple of cents in - it'll only over flow.

Re: Jeep JKU 2011 Fuel Overflow Issue
Thanks, but I won't be living with it :)
This only started happening a few months ago on a 6 year old Jeep. This happens when the pump shuts itself off, like the video above. |
Re: Jeep JKU 2011 Fuel Overflow Issue
This happens to me only in the winter because it's cold. I went to fill up the other day and guess what it stopped again 2008 JK. I just stand back in the winter so I don't get fuel on me

Update:
JKRUSH same thing here. It only happened when it was cold. I didn't replace anything and once winter was over the issue went away. |
Re: Jeep JKU 2011 Fuel Overflow Issue
I just got my jeep last week and what I noticed was that the no lead narrow neck had been cut off so this is why I have over flow issues
