Insurance costs on JKU 2012

How much it costs you to insure your Jeep? I know a lot of factors will impact the price of auto insurances (age, claims, tickets, km/year, geographic location, etc...), but this is annoying: I had quotes between 532$ CAD and 1073$ CAD. All with the same imaginable options. The worst here is that the company with the highest quote is the one I am insured with and I have already 3 other vehicles insured with them, 2 cars and a motorcycle.

Would be funny to have the same competition in the gas industry! lol

Must have some sort of conspiracy in this business

For me it is $1200/year, but that includes registration. I'm in Saskatchewan where insurance comes with the plating of vehicles. I do plan on getting a package policy on top of the regular insurance which would probably be another couple hundred.

also paying around 1200, that's with all discounts (house, other car, caa etc.) blemish free record. Wrangler is generally expensive to insure

Yea I pay $450 (not using it to dvr to work) on the jeep but I am covered both ways, cutting the damage to my vehicle it wud drop a little but not really worth the difference in price.and the JEEP isn't new. So your quote is actually low for a new JEEP "Ninemat" What coverage are you looking at more than 2 million? Shop around also call ING and Direct there local in Mtl

Wow....I pay around $2000/year. I guess it's true that Ontario is expensive. BUT think the JKU on insurance isn't that much more than a compact. I was paying $1900/year on a little Toyota with a perfect record and I am 36 year young!!!

Here the dvr's lic is expensive, the plates have extra charge for the gov insurance, plus we must buy ins and the fuel is more here so all in all it comes out pretty close.

Time to maybe shop around if you have a clean driving record. Could also be a "Toronto thing"?

^^yes it's also Toronto thing too.

I received 4 quotes and one of them provides discount for my University degree on top of my professional designation and it was around $300 more than what I pay. I guess that's life.

Speaking of gas prices....wtf....$1.40/ltr.....redonkerous!

About $2000/yr here. Not in Toronto, but close enough. Or was it too close...?
I'm 25 with a clean driving record.

Yet another reason to gtfo. :)
