Question
How do you WAVE at night

still a Hand Wave?
Flashing lights?
four way flashers?

Past a jeep last night and wanted to wave, But could not see them.

Just a question that I didn't have a answer to.

Thanx

I wave at them all, even if they are 4 lanes over :) 50% of the time they don't wave back. Once in a while I get the occasional middle finger instead of a wave which just makes me laugh.

i flash the "V for victory" sign to any jeep i encounter. its like a secret club

...i like to believe that either people respond too late (and are waving at your back) or that their hands are not close enough to the windshield to see.

if people are not hip enough/ antisocial, too bad for them.

A couple of weeks ago, I was at a my daughter's school for a band concert. A woman comes up to and asks me how I know her. I had no idea who she was and told her so. She said I must know her because I wave to her every time I pass her on the street. I ask her what she drives and she tells me it is a red Sahara JKU. I then explained about the wave.
A couple of days later, I passed her on the street and now she's waving like we are long lost buddies.

I wave at the Jeep. Most times it's driver will wave back.

This thread makes me happy. I cant wait to get my Jeep and start waving.
I'm sure if I start waving from my rusted out Tracker I may get a lot of weird looks.

I just bought my jeep back in December. I find here in Calgary it is the old 80/20 rule with only 20% of the jeeps waving back. I am going to keep doing it….who knows maybe it will give others the motivation to do so also. But like someone else said earlier on the post, there sure is a lot of jeeps out there now. I will assume that the people that wave are the ones that are not afraid to take their jeep in the woods and maybe come out with a few scratches. ;)
