Nope, I didn't get anything. I got a 2013 so maybe it's just the 2012 model?

Here's a link to the recall in the US.
News: Chrysler stands behind heads It appears it may effect some very early production 2013's. Change over to the redesigned head happened in late Jul., 2012. |

AutoJunkieMan - Not to worry, you will be notified by mail if your vehicle is part of the recall, notification letters often go out in waves. |
Re: Got letter from Chrysler re: extended warranty
Or, You will be notified when you hear some tick, tick, tick, in your motor!

Re: Got letter from Chrysler re: extended warranty
Well all motors of sorts have some sort of ticking noise.. I mean unless you know what your listening for it's kinda hard to know what it sounds like.

Re: Got letter from Chrysler re: extended warranty
I know. My 2011 Wrangler had the ticking. Needed heads changed.
Dealt it on a Cherokee with the same dealer after I informed him of the problem. |
Re: Got letter from Chrysler re: extended warranty
I've got an early built 2013. According to the TSB, mine was built 2 days after the production date cut off for the extended warranty. I did get the letter anyway, says the head is covered for 10 years/240000kms.

Re: Got letter from Chrysler re: extended warranty
Not every motor has the problem even if it was built in the questionable period.
At least they are backing up the problem with new parts under warranty. Just be sure if you do your own oil changes that you keep receipts for quality oil and filters and accurate dates. If you do have the issue, you will know it. Very prominent ticking noise. Mine, just when I started the cold motor. Only time I heard it. Although I'm sure it would have gotten worse over time and Kms! |
