remote starter
Hello I just sold my 2000 tj and bought a 2015 jeep jk unlimited dealer wants 900$ for remote starter which seems expensive when I know after market they are 300$ but will installing after market cause a void in warranty?

Re: remote starter
Not sure if it would, depends on the model and install type. But some remotes require splicing into your electrical system. That may affect a warranty!.
If you have it professionally installed aftermarket, your warranty will probably be good.
My thoughts are, if something is installed permanent, it may affect warranty. [engine work, certain suspension changes...]
If you install an item that can be removed without changing anything physical, it should not affect warranty. [muffler, speakers...]
Dealer is always going to be higher cost.

Re: remote starter
if you have an automatic search for fortin remote start on amazon or ebay. comes with T wiring harness so you dont have to splice/cut wires. All you have to do is connect two yellow wires together on the wire harness itself. I did the install on my wrangler unlimited and the wifes jeep commander.
