Dumb question about splash guards.

Does anyone know if these two products will work together?

These flaps: http://www.quadratec.com/products/12541_00_07.htm

These rock rails: http://www.quadratec.com/products/12112_221_07.htm

My jeep gets crazy dirty from the splash off the front wheels, my wife is getting pissed as she is always getting covered in salt haha. I need to resolve the issue asap or iI' going to have to buy a Fiat 500.

Thx

You will get splashed up the side of the front doors, using the molded flaps would definitely help, but being molded there hard plastic, offroading you may rip them off as with anything hanging down especially near the wheels. You don't want rock rails to detect the splash as there not going to do anything except take a bit out of your wallet. You might want to go to a truck stop and pick up a mud flap (heavy duty- there's always some on the ground- they fall off trucks) bring it home clean it up cut it to size and mount it in place of the molded ones. If your offroading and happen to rip them off, you have lost nothing, but u might want to fix them on with a disconnect, so offroading u remove them, for street there on for the little lady..otherwise I wud have to go along with what "jlau76" idea was..

Bushwhacker pocket flares and Sahara step bars will help a lot.. As much as I do not like my Sahara side steps they do help keep some of the crap off the Jeep.
Once you get bigger tires on you can forget about keeping it clean in the winter..

I take no offense, but as they say, a happy wife equals a happy life. :)

I'm going to research some of the removable options, something just for the thick of winter would be ideal.

Re: Dumb question about splash guards.

i used to think that mud flaps on a jeep were silly.
...
until the slush buildup on the door handle of my rubicon forced me to put em on the front. i put em on the back to protect my trailer. the mud terrains throw a lot of crap and corruption around.

lots of bush since then, and havent ripped em off. if i do... meh. who cares its plastic.

but back to the snow and ice buildup on the door handle. thats just good "California" engineering. (like the metal-clad lug nuts that rot off in 2 years or less exposure to road salt) ...guess they forgot to try the rubis in the snow... i was depressed the doors didn't have the flat paddle handle they were rocking for all those years previously... guess we know why they made them flat now.

Dealer installed them on my Rubicon before I picked it up last week along with the rears and floor mats/cargo matt. I never asked for them they just put them on. They told me they do it on all the jeeps they sell and in the winter months here in Newfoundland it helps with the salt and spray from the slushy roads we have to endure. I'll be taking mine off in the summer months but for winter it's nice to have them on....They'll be ripped off when wheelin' so not much point.
If those rock rails are the same ones I have on mine then they will work..

Here's mine...

Thanks for posting the picture!

I ordered the splash guards. I likely wont bother putting them on until the fall given that this winter is coming to a close soon. I still need to order the rails :)
