Discount programs?

Hi all,

I am planning on ordering a JKU end March or early April, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any discount programs..
I know of a few for the US you pay about $60 but it can work out to $1000 + off, or getting upto 3-5% below invoice price.

I am in the military so I am able to get $500 off plus whatever incentive they have on at the time, but I was wondering if there was anything else I could take agvantage of.

Im tore between a Sprot unlimited and the Sahara unlimited. (Auto / 4dr / deep cherry red)

Either one I would only be adding a tow package and the 2 tops thats about it (in sport id add ACas well).

If I get the price down low enough I might add heated seats (I have them now not sure if I want to go without now lol) and maybe half doors. I dont care for leather seats or any of the upgrade radio, Nav center, blah blah stuff. Just want a basic Jeep that can get me from A to B with no fear of getting stuck in snow (or anywhere else), and have some topless fun too.

Main reasons for wanting a Jeep is in the next couple of years we want to get a camp trailor or seadoos and will need to tow, and I was in a really bad accident a few years ago in a flash snow storm and hate driving in the snow. I have an AWD subaru right now and its good but still its a little car, I know most of its in my head but I want a BEAST AKA Jeep :la:

Currently the Wranglers get:
2000.00 consumer cash
1000.00 bonus cash

If that is what you mean:)

No, I mean with affiliated memberships like USAA or Treadlightly.

http://www.treadlightly.org/page.php/chrysler_discount

Treadlightly's site states 1% below invoice, members on a US forum have said with different programs have been able to get up to 5% off invoice by using such a program.

I HATE haggling so if I can walk in with something like that, it would be so much easier.

Tread lightly is the group you can join for about 60 dollars and you'll get a deal in the states. Unfortunately, it doesn't work in Canada. I haven't been able to find anything similar in Canada, but good luck :). There is an extra 1000 dollars worth of dealer insentives this month compared to february so its not a bad time to order. Also if you are ordering a 2012 check with your dealer for the last day to order I was told it was near the end of the month so if you want to get your order in you might have to do it now.

No discount programmes like that in Canada, the closest you will get are sites like unhaggle.com and carcostcanada.com. To get as close as possible to dealer invoice in Canada, you are doing well. The first site basically auctions off your interest to a handful of dealers and whoever bids closest to the dealer invoice is supposed to get your business. The second has a working relationship with a dealer and you can get invoice or a few dollars over with them. Both services cost money and both provide the dealer invoice for whatever jeep you are interested in (you build it yourself with the dealer cost of all the options etc.). If you can get a printout for free of the dealer invoice of the specific jeep you want, you can walk into any dealer and negotiate using that. There is a service out there for free dealer invoice builds, last I used it. http://www.carsaver.ca/, free printout of the dealer invoice of your build. Out of the 3 for the nominal fee and headache of it all, carcostcanada seems to get closest to if not at invoice price. Then you deal with the factory rebates to the customer . There's a difference between Factory to Dealer rebate and Factory to Customer rebate. Dealer is not obliged to pass on the Factory to Dealer rebate but can use it in slow times to lower the price if they wish. Factory to Customer rebate you are entitled to.

Hi Stephanie, I checked with my dealer in Mississauga and on an email quote he said that the Sahara with your options would be 36900 and the Sport 33600 taxes and all included out the door. Work off that because that was no in person haggling. I am sure it would be less.

What about the ruby? Nice gearing, lockers, something u might want to think about b/4 buying a sport or sahara...if the price is right.. If you don't go in that line then make sure u get some decent gearing on the whatever you buy..having 3.07 sucks... 3.73 or 4.11 is the direction I'd go and u want to tow something

Re: Discount programs?

So I finally ordered this week..
went with the Sahara Unlimited (Deep cherry red, doul top and tow package) the main reason for jumping from the sport to the Sahara was I could get 3% financing on the Sahara and not the sport.. and the difference in intrest payments on the Sport at 4.9% and the Sahara at 3% made it as if i was getting the sahara for the same price as the sport.
now to wait the 8-10 weeks for it to come from the factory

I just ordered the same one. Same colour, dual tops, tow etc. Which dealership did you go to? Mine did not give a time for delivery. I do need it by July though. I hope it gets here in time.
