Customized Rear bumper project
 

After three months, my custom bumper build and install is completed.
I was looking for something to match up with my front Smittybilt XRC MOD which I installed with the V2 Crawler end caps. No manufacture (even Smittybilt) had anything remotely similar so I explored the idea of a custom built, from scratch option. It when out the window in a hurry as a financial fantasy! Next up was buying a prebuilt bumper and modifying it after delivery. A lot of possibilities had to be trashed as the manufacturer only shipped their product powder coated - which would have had to been stripped and then reapplied after the mods, more added expense. I finally settled on a JCR Offroad full length Vanguard, which they would ship bare metal. Three weeks at the fab shop (it was done in a week but the wife forgot to pass on the message!), it was delivered to the local Ziebart applier to have it sprayed with Rhino Guard (box liner).
Next up was two days fighting fitment issues in the driveway - just once I would like something to go on as easy as the U-Tube video!!!!
She's installed and looks awesome - all the aggravations forgotten - well okay drunk into remission.
