CB antenna mount
 

Hi guys. I have a 2007 unlimited X and want to install a CB. I cant figure out where to mount the antenna. The roof is fiberglass and the bumpers are plastic so i cant get a good ground plane for radiation. I dont want to drill any holes in the body or bumper. Has anyone installed a CB in their new rigs and if so where did you locate the equip.

I have yet to intsall one on mine....soon. On my commute home this week I saw a 2DR JK that had installed their antenna on the spare tire carrier (stock). It looked really good there, fibreglass stick. Traffic wasn't slow enough for me to check out his mount...check on line for products. Grounding is as you said very important, if the lcoation were you wish to mount doesn't have a good ground, you will need to wire one to it.

Also check out the current issue of JP Magazine, they have an artical this month on CB installations, some good tips in there too.

I have ordered a mount and picking it up today. it is not much money, bolts on, no holes drilled, uses existing bolts. will post a pic or 2 when installed. bought from Northridge 4x4 from USA. you can order from canada anything that you see on USA site. they are doing alot of work to the USA site and will mirror it to the canadian site once they are done. the mount is made by teraflex. so hold tight. you can find me on other forums as well FYI with under Asphalt Assault for a handle. have not changed it here yet...LOL but if I can I will.
