Bug Netting?

Well summer is coming, I was wondering if anyone had any great ideas for bug netting! I will be heading upto midland for the drive in once in a while, and I wouldn't mind finding a way to fortify the top with bug netting for the drive in. I'll just be taking the two hard top peices off the front.

Just wondering if anyone had any cool ideas of putting netting over it? Maybe know if an aftermarket item that solves this? I can't find anything, preferably i'd like something sturdy enough that I can drive with it on.

If you're worried about bugs then maybe you shouldn't have gotten a jeep....lol

All kidding aside I've seen a couple people put bug netting over their whole cage and keep their doors on while on the trail to protect their children who were more sensitive to bug bits. Can't say that I've seen in on the hwy or not sure that it would actually hold up to the wind.

You said that you'd only be removing the 2 front panels of the top. Does this mean that you didn't get the soft top as an option for the summer?

Yeah i just got the hard top, I didn't buy the dual top because I've nowhere to put it!

The only reason why I am trying to figure this out is because the bugs love my GF, they don't much care for me much anymore. But we just would like to have the top panels off for the movie and still be bug protected somewhat thats all. Even if it's not HWY safe thats fine, just for convenience we wanted something highway safe maybe.

I personally do not like bugs, im not very out doorsy (oddly enough) But i enjoy offroading and bush wacking. I do not camp, but the GF is good at cooking on open fire and can cook with coal and wood. Plan to get a travel trailer to "camp" in thats about as out doorsy as I get. Im a computer nerd, it was how I was raised!

Is your GF good at sewing Too? you can buy nylon bug screen at CTC cut a piece to size sew a hem around and run elastic cord though also at CTC. You can tighten and attach to roll bars.
