Re: Best/Cheapest place to buy a black JEEP fuel door???

I actually purchased the Rampage one (almost the same as the Rugged Ridge), but it uses screws that tap into the original plastic fuel cup . . . and when I bought my Jeep new from the dealer they had swapped mine for a nice chrome 'Jeep' gas cover. I don't like chrome on my Jeep so I sold it and now want a black one. Are there any other covers that you can simply clip in without having to use any screws (like the 'Jeep' ones do)??

The expensive ones are just that, because they replace the whole plastic fuel filler neck which basically just snaps into the body. The only other option is the screw in one.

I bought the Rugged Ridge one as well. Didn't like the shiny black, so I rattle canned it, and like it that way. I'd take a pic to show ya, but it's WAAAAY to cold out there right now.

Presently eBay Canada are selling for $110 shipped. If you buy, make sure they are a US or Canadian seller and they ship USPS and not UPS. I got mine 2 years ago for $90 shipped and didn't pay the $5 Canada Post brokerage fee at the post office. No duty charges either. Remember folks, NEVER buy from someone that uses UPS, the brokerage fees they charge are ridiculous.:beerchug:

By the way, EASY install.

try to get a used one or ebay. I have had my black JEEP brand one yes you pay more but I think the quality is better too. I have zero rust or ozidization. I have seen aftermarket ones that are rusted and pitted. Jeep brand you may pay more but I think its worth it, in this case at least.

Check out this list of products from Just Jeeps. If you live in the Greater Toronto Area you can choose to pick it up in store and not pay for shipping.

No problem! I linked to it in my reply (click on Just Jeeps in my first reply) but the coding on this site doesn't seem to show hyperlinked words. Here it is: Just Jeeps :: Search results. Those are fuel door accessories for JKs. They're super close to you. The address is 128 Oakland Road Toronto. Whenever I place an order I do it by calling them and giving them the part number. Make sure you tell them you'll pick it up from them.

Our Jeep was getting its bumper put on this week. I'm on my way to pick it up now! So excited to tackle some snow mounds lol

sweet that'll be cool. I bookmarked it into my phone so when i get my jeep (hopfully end of march) i can start looking around. But im still going to need to find a local shop to do my mechanical. As much as i'd like to atempt it to do it myself i do not have the knowledge nore a garage. So if you got any recommendations that would be great since you seem to be in my neck of the woods. Right now i am just trying to wrap my head around the mechanics of everything. I've alot to learn
