My daughter's 08 began showing "C2200 Anti-lock brake module internal code". I cleared it a few times but it comes right back. Google seems to say that the ABS module needs replacing. My local mechanic who seems to know what he is talking about is doubtful. He thinks it is more likely a wheel speed sensor - this code came up a couple of weeks ago. I replaced the sensor and all seemed ok until now. Also the parts person at the dealership says this is an uncommon problem.

Is it likely the ABS module? The part isn't cheap. Take the chance and replace it or let the mechanic do a diagnostic? Would his scanner give more info than mine?
