Default 4 seater?

is the 2 door only a 4 seater? I never thought about this when I bought it and I really need a 5 seater. Is it legal to add a seatbelt in the back seat? Gulp!

Yeah it's a 4 seater....there's no center seat belt. There's no place to anchor the center seat belt to.

in a 2 door the rear seat sits between fender wells. therefore is not as long as a 4door rear seat. what is also sad is the front passenger seat does not have a single leaver to fold the seat backrest forward and seat as far foward as possible. makes it hard to get in and out of the 2 door.

I realized that, just thought they would be the same. But as Snipes said there is a reason. Its been a along time since I have been in a 2 door and looked at one so I forgot the rear seat isn't as wide.

Stupid question but what do you do for mirrors if you take your doors off? Just getting to know this ride.

Not that I've taken my doors off yet, but you fold them in or get relocation brackets and put them below on to the body of the Jeep (just below the A pillar).

I've heard that the visability is not great when you relocate.

Some ppl just leave them in the door and do without mirrors....but 5-0 doesn't like it for obvious reasons.
