We dumped three large extinguishers into it but no stopping rubber and plastic once it's going. My new rig has two extinguishers in it already. I'm considering full underbody skid plates to help prevent buildup of debris around exhaust and catyl converter. I'm not convinced this is what happened in my case but it is high on the list.

Glad your OK after this ! I feel bad bringing this up but what happened to the Jeep now ? I might be interested in buying it from the insurance comp. Can you PM me ?

I tried that already - no go, they would not let me buy it back. Insurance company has a salvage contract with one company to take all wrecks and off it went. I'm sure it go parted out one way or another but no info provided when I asked about it.

Ya , figured that happened. But at least you can't say we didn't try. It'd be a "maybe" cheaper way to get into Rubicon lockers.

Scary shhit. something to keep in mind when your out there enjoying yourself on a hot day with your NEW 2010 jk.. for sure a design problem... and love all that plastic...
