2009 jku p0302
2009 JKU
Got P0302 with check engine flashing while driving back home on highway Friday. No other codes. Replaced all 6 spark plugs and wires (because I had them anyway- wanted to change in spring). Spark plugs and NGK LZTR5AIX-13, checked gap 0.50 all. Old plugs were anywhere between 0.60-0.70. Looked like the original Champion plugs. Still same problem. Rough idle, lack of power, same code. P0302 Cylinder 2 misfire. No other codes. I don't have the stuff to do a compression check so that's a no. Someone suggested to check coil pack. Not sure how but here is what I got so far. Got the coil pack out on the bench. Looking at the coil pack. ASD relay pin is the 2nd pin from left to right? or 3rd pin from left to right? assuming pins are 4 3 2 1 (on the coil pack) 3 to 4 0.9 Ohm 3 to 2 0.9 Ohm 3 to 1 0.9 Ohm 2 to 4 1.5 Ohm 2 to 3 0.9 Ohm 2 to 1 1.5 Ohm I checked resistance between 1 and 4, 2 and 5 and 3 and 6 pins(that goes to spark plugs and they are all the same 12.37 kOhm I'd go the a scrap now to get another one just to test but they are all closed Sunday I think. |

Happy to hear you got everything sorted out. Jeep should be running top notch now, especially with new plugs ! :hah: |
