2008 wrangler unlimited I'm looking to buy from dealer.

local dealer is selling a 2008 wrangler unlimited, asking $ 22 k. It has 74 k on it with minor rust bleeding from some of the bolts around the hood. Interior is in fair shape normal wear and tear. The body is in fair shape, with a few paint chips. It will need new rubber before winter, should last the summer. We took it out for 2 test drives and it handles will on the highway. Also tried it out at a gravel pit, and a few steep hills and it handle it with ease. And that was just in 2 wd.
My question is about the price, and the last owner said it had death wobble, which I cannot find, but I want to take it out a third time to try to check for this problem. A third what is the gas mileage like for city and why.

Thanks

Wants to join the club, got the Jeep bug now.

Hi, and welcome to this forum! Yep Jeep bug can bite you and there's no looking back.

-2 door or 4?
-6 speed or auto?
-X, Sahara, or Rubi?
-dual tops?
-Stock or any mods?

Can't really say until more is know about the vehical.

Check your comparables on autotrader, or wheels.ca. When you get serious, take it to a thrid party and have a master class A tech give it a really good once over.

Death wobble is an issue with the front tires wobbeling at a specific speed. Go to JKforum.com, and do a search, plenty of info there as to what and why, even a video or two of it taken place. I've never experienced this, thankfully.

Fuel consumption on the highway for me is around 10 L/100, auto, Unlimited, and 3:73 gears, easy on the skinny pedal, and 2000RPM no more. In town, call it 12 to 15 L/100km...but the fun factor will squelch the fuel milage concerns, its a Jeep, not a Honda Civic.

It is a four door unlimited X, auto, removable top good shape, but needs new rubber before winter sets in. Fun to drive feel young again Mid Life crisis LOL. This is more fun than a sports car. Wife was smiling with the wind in her hair.
Wanted cheap gas but I'm too big for a fuel saver.

We bought our 2010 2D Sahara package with dual tops in April of 2010. Full audio with the subwoofer, just single CD. Price was 29200 EVERYTHING in (PST, GST, AIR tax, Tire tax, Dealer prep, shipping), EVERYTHING in. I believe that worked out to around 23500 as just the Jeep's price. Best part: 0% financing for 3 years. Payments just over 800 per month but NO interest woohoo. Hope you can go new and deal hard. Hope this helps.

Welcome soon.
