What Did You Do To Your GC Today

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
last night was just over 2 hours for all the rear stuff. went very smooth actually. HARDEST part was the 4 bolts that hold the sway bar bushings MAN they were tight odd as they are the easiest to access too tho! today is front end CV axles & oil change.
also noticed the other day as it was -12 degrees my info cluster was reading 23+ degrees C lol. so I think I need that ambient sensor switch up in the front grill.
mileage that was all hwy, when I'm bombing around the city I'm usually around 15L per 100K lol. I have a K & N cold air intake & Magnaflow cat back on it so I too like the exhaust tone :)

the best I got out of mine on the highway was 15 and I drive like a grandpa. Mine did have 3:73 gears though.
them axle nuts can be a real bear to undo, I've broken many breaker bars on them over the years. I bought a 3/4" impact gun a few years back and that usually gets them off but a steel chisel with a big hammer usually works as a last resort. The bearing assemblies can also be a problem, I've broken many sockets trying to undo the bolts, I've even had to cut a few off with a grinder and then drill out the remainder of the bolts. Fun and games, have fun and keep posting your progress.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
2011 JGC Laredo , low tone horn (drivers side) stopped working . I bought a 2 pack of horns from Amazon for under 30 bucks . I did not have to remove the grill or fascia or anything like that . I was able to pull back the top of the grill several inches then my wife held it in place so i was able to get a 1/4" drive 10 mm socket to remove the mounting bolt . I had my wife put a screwdriver through the grill to support the horn so it didn't fall once the bolt was out . i was then able to reach in and pull of the 2 wires , once again my wife supported the wires so they didn't drop down . Switched out the bracket onto the new horn , slipper it back in , attached my wires and then bolted back on . Probably took me 20 minutes .
