Default Vancouver BC: Looking for a good Jeep garage for maintenance

Hi,

I live in Vancouver BC and own a 2000 GC:Laredo 4.7 v8 AWD and am looking for advice as to where to bring my Jeep for maintenance.

I currently do oil changes at Mr. Lube, and the last time I was there they wanted to perform a few other things like transmission fluid change, fan belt, etc... but I said no.

I think my shocks are going and I may need a new swaybar/bushings as the ride feels bouncy and top heavy lately.

Can anyone suggest a garage to bring it to for maintenance? I would bring it to the dealership, but I know that will cost an arm and a leg.

Thank-you!

Steve

Are you looking for something in the City of Vancouver, or Metro Vancouver?

Either one really, but I do live in downtown Vancouver, and my parents live out in Surrey. Anything further out I would rather not go to :P

Mr. Lube is alright for stuff like oil and belts...

I don't know too many shops in Van, but in Surrey:
-BC Shock and Strut
-Burt's Automotive
are good places from both my and friends of mine experiences...

Mr. Lube, Great Canadian Oil Change, Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart, etc...are alright for tranny flushes too, but they don't change filters. They do flush the system though. Most trans shops change the fluid and filter, but don't flush the entire system...so...both have their benefits.

The best option is to give it a go yourself if you have the time and a place and a basic set of hand tools...way cheaper, fairly easy, and great learning experience if you have not done much maintenance work on your own vehicle yourself...

Later.
