Stereo Trouble HELP!!

I installed a pioneer DEH-2100ib cd player in my 97 jeep grande cherokee. I'm not getting any sound from any of the speakers. I can insert and eject cd's, i can switch through all of the options, so power to the cd player is not the issue. The factory system includes the power amplifier under the seat, so it is the premium model. There is a "CCD" bus line that runs to the body control module and to power control module. I am pretty sure that because the CCD curcuit is not complete, i am not getting audio. I know some one out there has put an aftermarket stereo in a truck like mine, there has to be a way!!! please help!!!

Its just like if you were putting in a custom subwoofer amplifier, you have to send 2x 12vs to it, one thats constant heavy gauge (already hooked up in your case by the factory connector on the amp itself), an one thats controlled by the headunit, that turns the power on when you power up the stereo...

your factory harness amp turn/on wire should be blue/white, and you want to match it up to the blue wire on your new harness,

and hope she sings!

Yeap! What he said. All of the Jeeps with the infinity system require a remote signal to power up the amp. I gave up messing around with the blue remote wire, and connected it to a 12v ignition source, because the remote wire from the radio will most likely shut off the amp when you put a CD in as that is when many radios put the power antennas down

the power antenna is all controlled by the head unit, in the case of the trans am, the antenna goes up when the after market radio is turned on... this is where alot of guys will install a kill switch to the antenna cause it looks stupid to have up when your not listening to the radio.

yep your amp has dedicated power already, and has a sensor wire going to the head unit that turns it on the amp when you turn on radio... since thats been replaced that radio, you have to wire in your new harness to it... just look for the wire and you should be golden.

She's Singing!!! everything is working perfect!!...i spliced into the remote wire that i had running into my bigger amp for the woofers, and i ran a wire to the factory infinity amp, so all it needed was a signal...thanks guys!!! This site has been a great help
