Default Rear right window prob. 04 grand cherokee

Good morning all.

I am again experiencing problems with my vehicles windows. Before I had had a problem with the window , interior lighting and so on. Turned out to be the wiring in the driver door that was broken.

This time though my daughter pushed the button on the rear right window. It went down but it won't go up. All other windows function and the window will still power down but nothing up. I don't want to let it go all the way down just in case.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem ? I read that it may be a small plastic clip on the regulator is this possible

Thanks

I wud say to remove the motor and clean the contacts but b/4 reinstalling do a direct connection to the battery to make sure it works, there has to be a flaw in design letting moisture or water enter somewhere to short out the motors. I know u say they go down but won't come up I had this problem on my 2000 sunfire and of course the motors were all different design so one couldn't switch them around, cleaning the contact worked for me, cheaper than the dealers idea buy a new motor.

It's one of three things. Switches, motor or mechanism in that order. Only way to find out is to take the door apart and find out.

p.s. If it goes one way but not the other it's usually one of the switches, they both have to be good for it to function.

p.p.s, It might be wiring but highly unlikely.

Problem was the wire in the driver door. Broken.
