01 Grand Cherokee - hot air not blowing hard into cabin
hello fellow Jeep owners.
I have a 2001 Jeep G.C Laredo and the blower is not blowing enough hot air into the cabin, Last winter we suffered living in Toronto in the cold winter nites so i want to get it fixed but can't seem to find anyone other than the ones that did a flush throught he system that didn't do anything.
Any suggestions?? I don't have dual, just standard air & heat.
Thanks
Miguel

My car doesn't have dual, it's standard heat/ac..... I've heard that there is a valve or door that moves on and off but it is somewhere behind the glove box?
Thanks

A shot in the dark do you have any codes? Might pin point the problem easier
There is a ballast resistor at the blower motor under the glove box (but thats why I asked how many speeds you had) it would have been the trouble, but you have all ur speeds so thats not it. Yes there are doors also, still looking on that part but someone else on the site here who I believe has a cherokee, may be he can add some light to this problem

Have you checked the anti-freeze/ water ratio? that will make a big difference if they put to much in when it was flushed. The other thing I would suggest is to replace your thermostat. Make sure it's a 190* and the little hole in the flange is on top. If they installed it on the bottom it can trap air and can cause this problem.

definitely check out what thermostat is installed, you can usually see on the gauge it being smack dab in the middle, being 190(87C) or a little past, 210 (98C)... i installed a 160 (70C) in my 04 and it only brought it up 1/4 of the way... Its definitely not enough heat for the winter up here (especially when you have no insulation in your doors)
Another thing i've seen a few people doing is clamping the house to stop the heatercore from leaking into the cabin during the summer, when their not using heat... kinda get doing that...
id also check the door actuator for the vents, you should hear when you switch from the window defrost to the feet and face a distinct noise other than the fan blowing... it could be stuck... and diverting the air elsewhere the entire time...
